First homes nearly complete at sprawling Pulte development in Hollywood

The first residents at Parkview at Hillcrest in Hollywood are on the verge of moving in, seven months after builder Pulte Homes launched sales on two former golf courses.

Brent Baker, Pulte’s southeast Florida division president, expects the first batch of homes to be complete by September. More than 40 of the 645 homes and townhomes have been sold so far, he said.

Pulte will unveil five model homes and townhomes at Parkview during a July 22 grand opening. Prices range from $299,990 to $482,990, making Parkview one of the few new-home communities in Broward County within reach for first-time buyers and young families, Baker said.

“To have sold that many homes without models, I’d say that’s an overwhelming response,” he said. “We would expect sales to greatly increase now that the models are open.”

The townhomes have three bedrooms, while the single-family homes will feature four to six bedrooms.

The project is near downtown Hollywood, at 1101 Hillcrest Drive. Pulte acquired the former Hillcrest Golf Course last year.
